This contract is agreed and entered into between Servtaps Sales & Services Private Limited (hereinafter called the COMPANY) of the First part and Owner of the Air Conditioner (hereinafter called the USER) of the Second part.
Routine Maintenance and proper operation of the Air Conditioners must be ensured by the USER, which also includes cleaning the Air Filters / checking & rectifying loose Electrical Contacts etc., at frequent intervals. The USER should also ensure proper and stabilized Power supply of 230 Volts +/- 10% with electrical Circuit breakers/isolators/earthing etc. at his cost.
Defects in electrical installation outside the unit should be rectifies by the owner voltage fluctuations, if any should also be attended of by the owner’s electrical contractors, any damage caused to the unit due to faulty electrical installation or fluctuating electric voltage shall be corrected at the cost of the owner.
The unit covered under this contract is only for mentioned location and Shifting/ reinstallation of the unit by third party absolve us of all responsibility and undertaking herein above agreed upon. We shall not assume any responsibility for any damage caused by such unauthorized handling of the unit shifting/ reinstallation of the unit by ourselves would be carried out at an additional cost.
The obligations of the COMPANY in complying and carrying out the services under this contract are subject to force majeure conditions such as strike, lock-out, Industrial/labour disturbances and natural calamities such as fire, flood, earthquake, accidental damages or any other act of God, war or restrictions imposed by the Governments and for any other reasons beyond our control.
The quoted service charges are based on the prevailing rates of taxes, duties and levies – both Central & Local. In case any statutory change in these, the same shall be levied to the User’s account.
Annual Maintenance Service Contract (Non-Comprehensive)
Labour towards Routine Servicing once in every Quarter & labour for attending breakdown calls during this contract period as per packages and plans offered or subscribed by the user will be at no cost.
All kind of repair and replacements of spares will be carried out only on chargeable basis in this scheme. Transportation of the units/materials for repairs should be borne by the customer. A separate estimate will be submitted for each repairs/ replacements, whenever found necessary. We will provide an approximate quote post evaluation at your house initially. If acceptable, we will provide a final quote within 24 to 48 hours.
There are two kind of charges- Visiting charges and Inspection charges. If the device is not repairable, a minimal visit charge will be applicable (depending on your location). However, the Inspection charges is only applicable if the device is repairable and the user decides against going ahead with the repair, after inspection.
Comprehensive Maintenance Service Contract
* The Annual Maintanance Contract shall only be valid for 5 years from the date of Purchase of the Machine/Appliance/Unit and the Purchase date/ Installation date shall be ascertained by Servtaps Technicians/Representatives from the Product Serial Number or Purchase Bill.
This Contract will be valid only on running condition of machines and will only be enforced once the company is satisfied that the machine/appliance/unit is in running condition. The fitness of the same will be certified by our authorized representative/technician of the company upon Inspection. If the machine/appliance/unit is not in running condition, a separate estimate for repair will be given and will be taken in AMC after necessary repairs on chargeable basis.
This Scheme covers Routine Service & fixed Breakdown Services as per Company Policy including free repair/ replacement of specific parts and Gas charging whenever found necessary by the COMPANY.
Routine Service includes Routine Inspection, checking & servicing the Air Conditioner once in every quarter spaced out as evenly as possible or as per packages and plans offered or subscribed by the user. Should there be a breakdown call closer to the Periodic Routine Service, maximum one week in advance, the Routine Service will be carried out along with the breakdown service.
All breakdown calls received by the COMPANY during normal working hours will be attended to as early as possible, but positively within 24 hours of receipt of calls within city limits and 24-48 hours outside city limits. Sundays & Holidays will not be considered for this purpose.
The charges quoted are for a normal 8 hours operating per day. An additional charge of 50% for the units operated for 16 hours / additional 100% charge for the units operated for 24 hours to be paid.
If the owner wishes to withdraw the contract before the completion of contract Period pro-rata refund of the fee (Services Period will be rounded off for full month, less the cancellation charges @20% of the contract amount).
If the company decides to terminate the maintenance contract before the Completion of the contract period a pro rate refund of the fee will only be made by us. (Services period will be rounded off for full month)
We fully reserve the right to withdraw this contract if the location is changed and we also have option to unilaterally terminate this contract if the machine/appliances/unit is handled/repaired/serviced by third party.
Manufacturing date shall be ascertained by Servtaps Technicians/Representatives from the Product Serial Number or Purchase Bill.
Exclusions: Refrigerant gas and other consumables, Front Grill assembly, Outer Cabinet, Air Filter, Control Knobs, Entire Remote Control Assembly, Remote hand set and Entire body of Indoor and Outdoor units, Outer Cabinet, Aesthetic Components, Plastic and Glass Parts are excluded from the Contract.
